Liselott Linsenhoffstraat

The owners of a corner plot in Almere-Poort wanted to realise a spacious house using high-quality materials and finishings.

Large windows were applied in the kitchen and living room on the ground floor. The steel doors between the entrance hall and the kitchen contribute to the open and spacious character. The upper floors consist of five bedrooms, a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. Because of the limited size of the garden the storage room for the bicycles was placed directly behind the front facade. A large roof terrace was realised on the second floor.

Sand-colored brick stones were used for the facades to create a more natural integration of the house into the dune landscape of this new neighborhood called Zandpoort. The slender aluminium windows, the steel beams in the facade and subtle recessions in the brickwork provide an industrial and sturdy appearance.
