Hectorsingel

A spatial and light terraced house was realised on a 7 m wide plot in Almere-Poort. The house makes optimal use of its location and is reached through a spacious front garden. The back of the house side opens up to a canal. To combine these two qualities the ground floor has been designed as one large open living space with the kitchen area on the garden side and the living space on the more private rear side.

The spacious living room consists of a large open space and a double-height front window offering ever-changing views of the canal and the area on the other side. A large cantilevered terrace has been placed above the water.

The upper floors contain a guestroom, three bedrooms and a bathroom. These floors can be reached by two long stairs, which have been aligned to create an extended sight line throughout the house.
