Project developer Integer Vastgoed B.V. commissioned our studio to design a timeless, high-end villa. The brief was to design an oasis of luxury and serenity and to apply various atmospheres to the different spaces within this relatively compact volume.
The heart of this villa is formed by an impressive central space with a height of six meters, a large skylight and a marble-clad wall. Here a large dining table can be placed. From this central space the kitchen area, the more intimate living room and the terrace can be reached. The fireplace can be used from both the living room as well as from the outside. On the upper floor the master bedroom and the children’s rooms are separated from each other.
The facade design is inspired by the modern villas from the 1920’s and by the post-war ‘case study houses’ in the United States. Surfaces with white stucco are combined with the natural and warm appearance of extra long bricks. The round glass balustrade, the large sliding doors without thresholds and the integrated lighting are based on modern technologies. Both the appearance as well as the interior of the house can be customized to the needs of the buyer and the conditions of the site.
